Merit Medical UK Limited is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Merit Medical has adopted the following greenhouse gas reduction targets. Our targets are reviewed and approved by the Governance and Sustainability Committee of our Board of Directors.
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

All emissions are calculated using an operational control boundary, in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol corporate standard (“GHG Protocol”) and are inclusive of UK operations for Merit Medical. Merit Medical’s required Scope 3 categories for the UK were first calculated in 2023, resulting in a different baseline year than Scope 1 and 2. In 2025, Merit Medical underwent a rebaselining exercise to account for acquisitions and to increase alignment with internationally recognized best practices, such as the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. As a result, we have restated baseline figures to reflect the improved accuracy. These restatements are part of our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement in our carbon reporting practices. |
