Reaching for the Stars in China
February saw the Merit China team receive the 2025 Top Employer honor from the Top Employers Institute for the fourth consecutive year. Merit China consistently cultivates an outstanding work environment, and this prestigious recognition highlights our commitment to exceptional human resource policies and practices.
Ringing the Nasdaq Bell
In March, to honor 35 years of partnership, the Merit team—including founder and current Chairman of the Board, Fred Lampropoulos—visited the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to ring the opening bell.
Of the event, Lampropoulos stated, “Merit’s listing on Nasdaq for 35 years marks a significant milestone in our company’s history. Nasdaq has been an exceptional partner, providing Merit with strong execution and visibility within the investor community.”
This was a proud moment for Merit, and we’re looking forward to many years to come.
Flying High in Galway
In April, Merit Galway was awarded the prestigious Best Regional Investment at the 2025 Invest in Ireland Awards. This recognition highlights our significant contributions to the growth and development of Ireland’s healthcare sector and its ongoing commitment to expanding its operations in the region.
Welcoming a New Era
July delivered an exciting milestone when Merit named Martha Aronson as our new President and Chief Executive Officer.
“I am excited to join Merit and truly honored to take on this role,” said Aronson of the appointment. “Fred has built and grown an extraordinary company over the past four decades, starting with one single idea and building it into the incredibly successful global company that it is today. Working with the talented team at Merit, I look forward to building upon his remarkable legacy and leading the company into a future of continued excellence and innovation.”
Our friends at Nasdaq helped celebrate our transition from founder-led to founder-inspired by welcoming Aronson on their Times Square tower.

September brought two exciting achievements when Merit was recognized as one of America’s Greatest Companies 2025 and World’s Greenest Companies 2025 by Newsweek. These honors signify our passion for instilling a culture focused on sustainability—for our teams, community, and the planet. Shining Bright in Tijuana
In November, our talented team in Tijuana, Mexico, celebrated its latest graduating class through a program Merit sponsors. This extraordinary group of employees lives the Merit values of striving for excellence in all aspects by continuously attaining education and experience. Well done, Merit Tijuana.
Executive of the Year
The end of 2025 delivered an honor well-deserved when BioUtah, Utah’s premier life sciences association, bestowed its Executive of the Year award to Fred Lampropoulos. As Merit’s founder, Lampropoulos has dedicated his life to growing Merit in every way possible—including uplifting the teams and communities he has worked alongside.
