Merit Medical Named Exclusive Distributor of Q50® PLUS

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – July 9, 2018 – Merit Medical Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MMSI), a leading manufacturer and marketer of proprietary disposable devices used in interventional, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, particularly in cardiology, radiology, oncology, critical care and endoscopy, has been named the exclusive global distributor of the Q50® PLUS Stent Graft Balloon Catheter (QXMédical, Roseville, MN). The Q50® PLUS is widely used in abdominal and thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) procedures to repair abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) and thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAA). It is also suitable for temporary occlusion of large vessels.

The Q50® PLUS features a broad balloon diameter range of 10 mm to 50 mm and is compatible with 12 French introducer sheaths, the lowest available profile compared to competitor’s stent graft balloons. Constructed from a proprietary polyurethane technology, the Q50® PLUS is strong yet compliant and also offers exceptional balloon inflation and deflation rates.

The Q50® PLUS is available with either a 65 cm length catheter (ideal for AAA procedures) or a 100 cm length catheter (for use with TAA procedures) and is designed with a unique tapered flexible tip to facilitate device passage. More information about the Q50® PLUS, including ordering information, may be found on Merit’s website at: Merit.com/Q50PLUS.

“This addition of the Q50® PLUS Stent Graft Balloon Catheter to our offering allows Merit Medical to fully support vascular surgeons during all phases of their procedures. We anticipate no interruption for existing customers as we take on global distribution of the Q50® PLUS, and in fact, Merit’s existing infrastructure will be an asset for seamless,

worldwide distribution,” said Fred Lampropoulos, Merit’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “With QXMédical we have established a valuable partnership with a company that has compatible corporate values and similar commitment to bringing superior products to market.”

In addition to offering the Q50® PLUS Stent Graft Balloon Catheter, Merit manufactures and sells products for use in AAA and TAA procedures, including the VacLok® 60 ml syringe, Merit Laureate® Hydrophilic Guide Wire, InQwire® Amplatz Guide Wire and EN Snare® Endovascular Snare System.

The VacLok 60 ml syringe holds negative pressure with ease and won’t inadvertently disengage. The Merit Laureate Hydrophilic Guide Wire is noted to have exceptional torque control, turn-for-turn responsiveness and enhanced lesion crossability for high performance in navigating tortuous vessels. The InQwire® Amplatz Guide Wire has an increased level of stiffness that delivers support and stability within the vasculature for enhanced navigation. Constructed from high-strength yet flexible Nitinol, the EN Snare® Endovascular Snare System offers both kink resistance and torque control during delicate maneuvers.
