INDICATIONS FOR USE Embosphere Microspheres are indicated for arterial embolisation in patients undergoing treatment for hypervascular processes, including genicular artery embolisation (GAE) in patients with mild-to-moderate knee osteoarthritis who are refractory to standard-of-care first-line conservative treatment (e.g., physical therapy, medical therapy [NSAIDs, opioids], intra-articular corticosteroid injections).
†Embosphere used in GAE for knee osteoarthritis is CE-marked under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745).
