Features & Benefits

KEY ADVANTAGES OF THE MERIT MAK GOLD – NOW AVAILABLE!

Lowest Insertion Resistance Available

MAK Gold Mini Access Kits offer 50% less insertion force than the leading micro-introducer.

More Pushability for Your Procedures

Compared to the leading standard dilator, the MAK Gold Mini Access Kit dilator is 5× stiffer, delivering more pushability for your procedures.

Flexible When You Need It

MAK Gold Mini Access Kits are 11× more flexible than the leading stiffened dilator, providing more trackability, helping to prevent kinking during insertion.

TOUGH ON SCAR TISSUE, GENTLE ON VESSELS

Micro-access often struggles to either penetrate dense tissue or risks damaging the vessel. Explore how we designed MAK Gold to be the solution.

Artwork on a scale from Too Soft to Too Stiff. The callouts show introducers buckling and kinking, with the MAK Gold as a Balanced option, providing strong access

Too Soft

Standard dilators may be too soft, buckle, and kink the wire when they encounter scar tissue.

Balanced

A unique gold dilator balances stiffness and flexibility for access through dense tissue and successful tracking of the guide wire.

Too Stiff

Stiffened dilators do not track the guide wire well, can kink, and damage the vessel.

Merit MAK™ mini access kits provide access to the vascular system and facilitate the placement of 0.035″ (0.89mm) or 0.038″ (0.97mm) guide wires. The MAK kits allow you to start small, minimizing bleeding and trauma to the surrounding tissue. Kits are available in 4 French and 5 French and include the coaxial introducer/dilator pair, 21 gauge needle and 0.018″ (0.46 mm) guide wire. For your convenience, all kit components are available separately. Merit MAK guide wires are available in many configurations to meet specific clinical needs. Guide wires are packaged in a fully enclosed hoop to ensure they are protected and ready for use.

Kit Includes:

  • Coaxial introducer/dilator pair
  • 21G needle
