Executive Vice President, Global Research & Development
John Hall was promoted Executive Vice President, Global Research & Development, in 2025 after nearly 15 years of progressive leadership positions at Merit Medical Systems. With more than two decades of experience in medical device research and development, he leads Merit’s global R&D organization, aligning cross-functional innovation efforts with overall business strategy.
He has been instrumental in building and scaling Merit’s R&D teams, strengthening portfolio governance, and partnering with executive leadership on enterprise R&D strategy, acquisitions, and advanced technology expansion.
Hall holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah. He is credited as inventor on numerous U.S. and foreign patents and has contributed to peer-reviewed, technical publications related to medical device research and applied engineering.
