To increase safety and prevent unintended harmful sticks with sharps, Merit designed the ShortStop temporary sharps holder device. Recently, Merit has introduced the next generation of sharps holders with the ShortStop Advantage. This patented device is similar to the original ShortStop with the exception of a new side access feature where fully loaded syringes attached to needles can be placed flat in order to avoid bent needles or top heavy issues.
