About

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Merit Medical Systems, Inc. (“Merit Medical”) collects information from users of this site, how Merit Medical uses the information, and what choices users have on the collection, correction, and use of such information. When this Privacy Policy refers to Merit Medical, we, or us, it includes Merit Medical and its subsidiaries and affiliates.

Personal Information

Personal information collected through this site is solely obtained from you. Personal information may include your name, birth date, telephone number, postal address, e-mail address, certain financial information needed for on-line ordering other personally identifiable information, or information obtained from submitting your resume online in response to a job posting.

Our policy is to maintain the privacy of personal information and not to use or disclose it except as provided in this Privacy Policy. For example, you may use this site to send us your questions or comments. When you send us a question by e-mail, we will use your return e-mail address to respond to your question. We will not use your return e-mail address for other purposes and will not share your return e-mail address with others except as provided in this Privacy Policy. Users who provide postal addresses may receive periodic mailings from us about items that may be of interest. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please contact us. (See “How To Contact Us.”) Users who provide telephone numbers will only receive telephone contact from us if they have requested it or if the contact relates to an on-line order.

Use of Anonymous Information

We are always looking for ways to better serve you and improve this website. We will use the anonymous information from you to help us make this website more useful to visitors. We also will use anonymous information for other business purposes. For example, we may use anonymous information to create reports for internal use to develop programs, products, services or content and to customize the information or services that are of interest to you.

"Cookies" and How We Use Them

A “cookie” is a small data file that can be placed on your hard drive when you visit a website. Merit Medical may use third-party tracking and advertising providers to act on Merit Medical's behalf to track and analyze your usage of our sites through the use of cookies, pixel tags/web beacons, and similar technologies. These third parties may collect, and share with us, as we may request, website usage information about visits to our sites, measure and research the effectiveness of our advertisements, and track page usage and paths followed during visits through our sites.

Product Ordering (Applies to on-line ordering)

If you order products directly from Merit Medical using this site, we will use the personal information you provide to process, fill, ship, and obtain payment for the order. We may also use the information to provide you with product updates and other product-related information. We do not share your personal information with outside parties, except to the extent necessary to complete and process the payment for such order or as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy.

Resume Submission

If your personal data is submitted through the site when applying for a position with Merit Medical, your personal data will be used solely for the purpose of evaluating and accepting you for the position. We may retain your personal data for a period of time, but only for the purpose of considering your application for current or future positions at Merit Medical or as necessary to comply with the law.

Online Advertisements

This site may display online advertisements, and we may share with advertisers the aggregated (collective) anonymous information we collect through this site. In some instances, we may use such information to deliver tailored advertisements. For example, if an advertiser describes to us an audience it wants to reach and provides us with an advertisement tailored to that audience, we may display the advertisement to the intended audience based upon the aggregated, anonymous information we have collected. We do not share personal information with advertisers.

Voluntary Customer Surveys

We may periodically conduct customer surveys. We encourage our customers to participate in these surveys because they provide us with important information that helps us to improve the types of products and services we offer and how we provide them. Your personal information and responses will remain strictly confidential, even if the survey is conducted by a third party that we hire. Participation in any of our customer surveys is voluntary.

We take the information we receive from individuals responding to customer surveys and aggregate (combine) it with the responses of other Merit Medical customers to create broader, generic responses to the survey questions (such as gender, age, residence, hobbies, education, employment, industry sector, or other demographic information). We then use the aggregated information to improve the quality of our products and services, and to develop new products and services. This aggregated, anonymous information may be shared with third parties.

Special Circumstances

It is our policy not to use or share personal information about use in ways unrelated to the ones described above, without providing users an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. We may disclose such personal information, however, if we believe, in our sole discretion, that it is reasonable to do so under the circumstances. Our reasons for disclosure of personal information may include, for example, to satisfy our obligations under the law, such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, regulations, or governmental or legal requests for information; to disclose information that is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our Terms of Use or other user policies; or otherwise to protect Merit Medical and its customers.

Data Security

This site has electronic security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. While we will make every reasonable effort to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party “hackers” from illegally obtaining this information. Security measures are also in place at the physical facilities where our servers are located to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of information that we have collected from you.

When we receive or transfer certain types of sensitive information, such as financial information, we utilize standard encryption technology and your browser may notify you of the secure transaction. We do not encrypt unsolicited e-mail, however, so you should avoid including personal information in any unsolicited e-mail that you send to us.

Information About Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen years of age. If you are under thirteen, please do not provide us any personal information. If you have any reason to believe that someone under thirteen may have provided us personal information, please inform us immediately so that we can delete such information.

If you are a registered user or have provided Merit Medical with your personal data, you may request to review, change or delete information previously provided to us by modifying your profile at the Login Screen or by sending an e-mail to webmaster@merit.com. Requests for changes to or deletions of your personal data should be made by you directly. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We reserve the right, in our absolute discretion, to remove or delete, without notice, any material you submit for inclusion on this site. We also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any material posted or uploaded by you to our site constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.
