NTI2018 Recap

It was “Game On!” in Boston where Merit enjoyed our time at the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, National Training Institute, Critical Care Symposium (NTI).

Having wrapped things up, we can now take a moment to look back at the show, to reflect on the many wonderful people we met, and discuss how we can best move forward with serving your needs.

At the NTI, we embraced Boston’s culture of sports and friendly competition with our Fenway-themed booth. We hope you enjoy a short video recap of our time in Boston, including the “all-star line-up” of products and education that were provided that demonstrate Merit’s commitment to supporting critical care nurses in your safety and infection protection goals. Now, more than ever, protecting patients (and clinicians) is one of the most critical issues for clinicians on the front lines of patient care, who see the impact of an effective (or ineffective) infection prevention program.

We want to express our gratitude to Erin Dwyer MSN, APRN, ACCNS-P, CCRN-K, Clinical Nurse Specialist, PICU at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, for her expertly delivered presentation on “Creating and Implementing a CLABSI Bundle”. Her sessions were standing-room only – a testament to the importance and timeliness of her topic. We would also like to thank Bertie Chuong, DNP, RN, CCRN Resource and Education Coordinator, EPS Co-Chair, Yale New Haven Health. Her presentations on “Patient Safety Successes from the Frontlines” were well received by large and enthusiastic audiences.

We hope you enjoyed the ice cream. Many of you remember it from last year. Our booth also featured the DualCap bean bag toss game and an oversized gumball machine stocked with DualCaps and chocolate baseballs. More importantly, however, we hope you left our booth informed, intrigued, and with assurances that we would follow up with you in a timely manner.

Overall, we enjoyed our time with you and appreciate all that you do for patient care. Merit is here to support you in your efforts to control infection and protect patients as you care for them.

We had a wonderful time at NTI 2018! We can’t wait to see you all at NTI 2019. PLAY BALL!
