Creating Buzz at SIR 2018: Recap of This Year’s Most Memorable Moments

It has been nearly one week since SIR 2018, and we’re still reeling from the excitement. Between expert booth presenters and showcasing numerous recently launched and acquired products, there was never a dull moment at the Merit Medical booth. To remember SIR 2018, we’ve created a quick video recap reel. We hope you enjoy the memories!

Helping you meet your clinical needs has always been, and will continue to be, what drives us at Merit, which is why we made physician education a special point of focus during this year’s meeting.

We’d first like to take this moment to recognize Charles Nutting, DO, FSIR; Darren Klass, MD, PhD, MRCS, FRCR, FRCPC; Michael T. Serle, MS, PA-C; and Jack W. Jennings, MD, PhD. Thank you for leading our Eat and Be Educated speaker program and sharing your expert input with the Merit team as well as your interventional radiologist colleagues.

In addition to in-booth education, SIR attendees were able to learn more about our ongoing physician education programs, such as ThinkPAE™, ThinkRadial™, and ThinkInterventionalSpine™. And as part of the ThinkPAE™ program, physicians at SIR were able to improve their PAE skills on our state-of-the-art Mentice simulator.

The inspiration continued as we proudly showcased our recently acquired Achieve®, Temno®, and Tru-Cut® soft tissue biopsy products, as well as the Aspira® Drainage System. We hope these new additions to our existing portfolio help to meet your diverse clinical needs and those of your patients.

“Our focus on innovation also included the announcement of at least six new and/or improved products that were specifically designed based on feedback from the physician community,” said Fred Lampropoulos, Chairman and CEO of Merit Medical, who attended SIR 2018.

“Merit is deeply committed to supporting interventional radiologists and we look forward to attending annual meetings like SIR to interact on a more personal level with the physician community,” Lampropoulos said.

This year’s meeting is behind us, but that means there are only 360 days until SIR 2019 in Austin, TX, and we can’t wait. Will we see you there?
