The Merit MAK™ (Mini Access Kit) and S-MAK™ (Stiffened Mini Access Kit) introducers provide small access to the vascular system using a 21 gauge needle and a 0.018" (0.46mm) guide wire, along with either a 4F or 5F coaxial dilator/introducer pair. By starting with a smaller needle, trauma to the surrounding tissue and bleeding are minimized. The Merit MAK™ and S-MAK™ facilitate the percutaneous placement of 0.035" (0.89mm) or 0.038" (0.97mm) guide wires into the vascular system. Several kit configurations, as well as separate components, help to meet the needs of clinicians.
